As LCD TV sets get larger and larger, it becomes increasingly more difficult to find room for them within older homes. This is also true of traditional small spaces, such as inner city apartments or college dorm rooms. So how can you make the most of your space and find a way to fit the largest possible TV into your entertainment room? The answer may very well be a corner LCD TV stand.

Turn the clocks back a decade or so. The largest TVs available were the 32″ and sometimes a 36″. Even these were thousands of dollars compared to the typical 19″ or 27″. These cathode ray tube TVs were monsters. I remember trying to move my brand new 29″. It took two of us to muscle it around.

A common behavior that almost all cats do is push their heads into any type of object that will allow them to do it. You’ve probably seen your cat do this before, probably against table legs, retro tv unit, or another object. This can be noticed more when you have other people who own animals or those with allergies over at your house. When a cat notices this, he will rub his head against the person. In doing so, he will put a touch of saliva on the individual. In a cat’s mind, he owns what he puts his saliva on.

In essence, a good television stand has two main purposes. The first is that it should hold your television set in a stable manner. It should be solid and be built in such a way as to ensure that it will lost for a good period of time.

2) Choose a material that’s looks good and works well. The most common materials out there for LCD TV stands include hardwood, MDF (medium density fiberboard), and wood veneers. Each has a different look and feel, so browse around before you make a final decision. Hardwood will last forever, but is expensive. Wood veneer is wood placed over other materials, so you get the look and feel of wood without the heavy downsides. MDF is a great economical and environmentally sound decision. Glass and metal stands exist as well, so keep looking until you find one that looks and feel right for you.

You can also opt for metals, as high fashionable stands are made out of it. Even they are cheaper considering your pocket. Flat stands comes in different sizes, shapes and forms.

If you own a big screen or flat screen TV, then you do need to buy a TV stand or entertainment center that is built to hold the size and correct proportions of your television. A big screen television is an expensive item and you don’t want to place it on or in a piece of furniture that can’t support it.

After the bigger items are purchased, focus on the little items like cutlery, dishes, bathroom accessories, etc. Just Google “first apartment checklist” and you can find plenty of lists that will help you stay organized. Because there is nothing worse than unpacking everything only to realize you don’t have any utensils to eat with.
